Proposal on automation of technological processes on oil industry enterprises The issues of car fuel quality are raised increasingly more often, year after year. Low oil resources and ecological problems necessitate finding new technological methods. One of the most effective solutions for this global-level problem was installation of catalytic reforming at oil refining plants. Commissioning of this system will help increase production of environmentally clean automobile fuel of highest quality.
For more than 14 years ITC-Electronics has been one of the leaders on the market of electronic components and automation devices. Over its history ITC-Electronics in cooperation with its clients has completed successfully a range of various projects that were related to most important economic development tasks. We invite you to study the technical project for enterprises of oil and gas industry in the area of automation of catalytic reforming processes.
The technical system (see APCS Scheme) is sufficient to implement all the functions and corresponds to all current standards.
The lower level subsystems include: primary measuring transformers, Pepperl+Fuchs equipment control sensors and actuating mechanisms. These devices collect information on the technological process and implementation of controlling functions. Collection, primary processing and transferal of data into the upper level subsystem is implemented with use of the modern WAGO I/O-SYSTEM 750 control system by Wago Kontakttechnik, with use of intrinsically safe barriers and remote data collection modules. This level provides primary processing of measuring information signals and monitors functional performance of technological process control tools. All the equipment is placed in Schroff cabinets. The function of the upper level subsystem (accounting of and presentation of information) is provided by Advantech professional PCs.
Wago
The main advantages of Wago component systems are:
•    Low cost of equipment and software
•    Low labor costs at the assembly stage (requires 70% less time than other systems);
•    Operational reliability;
•    Systemic functionality;
•    Easy system scalability;
•    Availability of modules with all the necessary interfaces for further modernization;
•    Repairability of the system as a whole and separate input-output stations;
•    Internet Explorer browser on the operator station is enough to visualize the technical process.
Pepperl+Fuchs
The main advantages of Pepperl+Fuchs component systems are:
1.    HiD 2000 Intrinsic Safety Barriers
o    High density of components, achieved by means of using cutting-edge design methods and surface-mounted assembly technology advantages.
o    Excellent characteristics, in particular, high precision of transfer and reproduction of signals, low intake and dissipated power;
o    Broad functionality, a large array of input/output signals, galvanic insulation, wire defect detection system;
o    HiD 2000 series barriers are certified as having intrinsic safety in accordance with CENELEC, CSA, FM, GOST, SABS, SAA and other national and international standards.
Additionally, they conform to European directives regarding EMC, and all the modules bear CE marking.
2.    K-System Intrinsic Safety Barriers are compact modular barriers, being used for galvanic circuits in potentially explosive zones and circuits in safe zones. They correspond to the requirements of GOST 22782.5-78 “Electrical explosion-proof device with use of intrinsic safety barriers” (explosive-proof protection Ex ia IIC).

The barriers could be assembled on standard 35 mm DIN plank or any other even surface with the help of screws. All K series system barriers have removable terminal blocks that are coded to avoid incorrect hookups. Moreover, removable terminal blocks simplify assembly of cabinets, and make it easy and safe to replace barriers under voltage. Using these advantages, as well as Power Rail supply line by Pepperl+Fuchs you will be able to lower considerably the cost of power distribution, and increase reliability and fail-safety of your system.

The Power Rail supply line is simply inserted in the groove of the standard DIN-plank, and has two conductors to deliver voltage to the barriers. Simply install the barrier onto the DIN-plank, and the voltage will be delivered automatically. With Power Rail you are practically guaranteed from broken wires and short circuits. The system can also be easily expanded: you simply install the barrier on a free spot, and the voltage will be delivered instantly!

K-System barriers provide for reliable competitively-priced way of transferring signals from field devices to the control system. Availability of one-, two- and four-channel versions, LED indicators, and wire-break controls are standard characteristics which will allow you to optimize your system through use of universal devices.
3.    Visolux Photoelectric Sensors
o    Used for sensing non-transparent and mirror-surface objects;
o    Large sensor range;
o    The system is fairly resistant to interference caused by dust or dirt;
o    The receiver and the emitter are connected via separate cables;
o    Detection of transparent glass is also possible with the help of special sensors;
o    Mirror objects can be discovered if the sensors are equipped with polarizing filters;
o    Long distance action is made possible by retroreflectors;
o    Very small objects (up to 0.5 mm) can be detected;
o    Can be operated in temperatures up to 300°C (in steel casing).

4.    LUC-M40 Ultrasonic Sensor
The sensor consists of four compact devices, which can be used for continuous contact-free measurement of levels of liquids, pastes and large grain free-flowing materials.
The process of commissioning the new devices is made simple. It is operated by PACTwareTM configured software, or via a menu mode, which is displayed on a bright four-line text display. The data on the state of the device represented as envelop curves can be presented on the device’s own display or on an external display module.
Ultrasonic measurements are used widely in resolving multiple technical tasks because the properties of materials practically never influence the outcome.
5.    Measuring converters (remote data collection modules) KFD2-UT-Ex2:
o    Two channels and a 20 mm wide casing allow to install converters into the connection box;
o    The new device has been intended for flash-proof (ExiaIIC input circuits) and general industrial applications;
o    Measurement accuracy: ± 0.1%;
o    Pt10, Pt50, Pt100, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni1000, Cu10, Cu50, Cu100 resistance thermometers; two-, three-, or four-wire connection;
o    B, E, J, K, L, N, R, S and TXK, TXKH, TXA group thermal electric transducers (GOST…);
o    External or internal compensator of cold junction electric static motor
o    Three-wire resistor (potentiometer) from 800 Ohm to 20 kOhm
o    Error messages (including sensor monitoring)
o    Galvanic insulation between input and output circuits and power source circuits;
o    Operative control over all measuring parameters with use of PC PACTwareTM;
o    EMC according to the requirements of EN 61326;
o    PowerRail electrical power supply and collective error messages;
o    Power supply voltage from 20 to 30 V, power dissipation rating 1.5 W
o    Acceptable temperature in the connection box – +60°С.
In cases when it is necessary to process signals centrally with the help of the control system, the optimal option is to use HiD2082 analog measuring system. Electric parameters are identical for both devices, but in terms of its design HiD2082 is best optimized for use on HiD2000 integration boards.
Integration boards are tested by the manufacturer. They are intended for direct connection to input boards of control systems via cables and joint forks of corresponding manufacturers. This simplifies the design and commissioning of APCSs and prevents mistakes in electric wiring.
KFD2-UT-Ex2, a modern compact instrument converter achieves high precision due to minimal dissipation power. Analog HiD2082 device is optimal for installation into the motherboard. Electrical parameters of both devices are identical.
